Beyond Fairytales Blessings Blog Hop - Nov 10th -15th

So what happens when you give too much coffee to an author, then let her talk to another crazy writer?  Wacky ideas! That's what!  But that's exactly what happened one fine fall morning.  I was minding my own business when TL Reeve, one of my bestest writing buddies in the world, went hey Dakota...I got this super idea...wanna hear, wanna hear...."   That's when I knew the little wench had been into the sause...or in this case coffee. And for those of you who know TL personally, you know how dangerous that can be.

Anyway I said yes, and Beyond Fairytales Blessings was born.  Instead of another Christmas hop, we decided to do a Thanksgiving one - you know that holiday that always seems to get overlooked in the commercial madness of Christmas?  Blessings just seemed to fit - especially after we contacted a bunch of our other Beyond Fairytale writers and told them wanted to do a scavenger hunt that featured what their characters were thankful for.   Imagine our surprise when we ended up with ten other authors who jumped on board.

And hence this blog hop was born.   So be sure to check all the posts out.   Now on to the show....

What are Lucero and Ivan, my characters from Don't Call Me Iron Man, thankful for?

I had to stop and think.  My smart ass muse said it should be Nicodemus, the storyteller who appears throughout all our tales, or perhaps finding love.   But I nixed both her ideas.  I know what my sexy men are thankful for.

Well, more than anything he's got - his money, his good looks, even his smarts - none of it seems to matter if no one is around for him to share it with.  So even at his lowest point in the story, he knows he can rely upon one consistent in his life.  His friends - and more specifically Dante, a wise-cracking piano player from Ivan's favorite place to hang out - Paddy McFee's.  He's the only man who can actually get away with calling Ivan Iron Man - with out dying.

And Lucero?

He was a bit harder to figure out at first.  Not only does he live in distant realm where he's hiding out from a vindictive queen, he's a bit of a loner.  He lives alone, sleeps alone, eats alone, even works alone.  He lives a solitary existence - by choice.  Of course, that all changes when an off-worlder shakes his world up.   In the end, despite the wild animal attacks, the near misses and an ancient mating ritual, Lucero knows that he's been blessed - with a second chance.

So now you know what my heroes are thankful for, don't forget to check out the rest of the peeps and enter the grand prize contest.   After all, wouldn't you be  thankful if you won a mega bundle of Beyond Fairytales stories?

Also don't forget, the twelve us are hosting a party on Facebook on the 17th.  We'll be announcing the winner at the end, but will have plenty of steamy covers, sizzling excerpts and some down right naughty fun as we discuss our Beyond Fairytales.

Here's the rest of the gang....

Once upon a time...there was this guy. A man who had an IQ out of this world and was arrogant enough to give the legendary Tony Stark a run for his money. He had everything he could ever want - a good job, more money than he knew what to do with, and all the sex he wanted - no strings attached. But that all changed on one fateful night...

The last thing Ivan Chugunov expected when he dropped by his favorite haunt for a few brews was to be entertained by a mysterious storyteller. But as he listened to the man's tale of a prince and an oddity that went by the name of Iron John, he found himself lost in the story...only to awaken in another realm - one with a quest - for him. Repair the purifier vital to all those who lived and retrieve a medical unit. Seemed simple enough and a small enough price to pay to return to his own time. Well, until he finds out that said 'LT-1789 unit' is actually a reclusive cybernetic man. One who will demand his own price of Ivan - three nights of unbridled sexual bliss...with Ivan at his mercy. Only then will he return to the royal clutch. Can Ivan, a man who relishes control above all else, submit to a man who may be more machine than human?

#MySexySaturday {67}: Danger is an aphrodisiac....right?

So once again it's time to do a little #mysexysaturday fun.   I've been remiss as of late in joining - mostly because my real life got in the way, but I'm back and happy to join in once more.  And what a great week to join. This week, we're talking about sexy firsts.  It could be the first kiss, the first meeting or as our wonderful founder, Lynn Crain says "sexy first ride in a spaceship with that sexy someone."  Which of course makes me giggle.   But I digress, so lets get on with the show. This week, I have the pleasure of sharing seven sexy paragraphs from my upcoming release from Decadent Publishing.  As part of their Beyond Fairytales line, Don't Call Me Iron Man has made an appearance more than once on #MSS.  So enjoy as I reintroduce you to Ivan and his sexy cyborg, Lucero - and their first meeting!  (Oh and also check out the sexy cover the talented Syneca Featherstone made for it!)

Caroc’s scream pierced the night as razor-sharp talons raked open the man’s vulnerable stomach. Blood spurted and Ivan stumbled back. The flight instinct was riding him hard. Nothing could’ve ever prepared him for the brutality of the attack. Or the grim reality that he most definitely was not in Kansas anymore.
“Be still.” The sudden harsh whisper filled his ear.
Already on edge, Ivan jumped. A soft curse passed his lips as he was dragged back against a hard body. His penlight revealed the planes of an almost perfect face before it was knocked out of his hand to the ground. Surprise warred with apprehension as the other man held him with ease then closed a dark cloak of some type around their combined bodies. Ivan tried to twist away, but his captor refused to let him go, even when he arched backward and ground his ass against the stranger’s groin. Within moments, the man’s cock stiffened then wedged between the cheeks of Ivan’s ass.
A hand clamped over his hip. “Stop. Now is not the time to lure me with your wicked ways. I don’t care what the queen has promised you. It will matter not if we don’t survive. The morte’metentis has an unshakable thirst for human blood, but has poor vision. Our only chance to survive is to remain still. It may not be able to see us, but it has sharp hearing.”
“It does?” He cringed at the sound of bones crunching when the beast tore an arm from the guard’s mangled, limp body. Even though he didn’t care for Caroc, he wouldn’t have wished such a fate on him.
“Yes. Now be still.  I do not wish to be its dessert.” Then as if the mysterious stranger could read his mind, the man spoke again. “There is nothing we can do for him. Even a drop of its venom is fatal for humans. He was dead from the moment it tagged him.”
Ivan had no choice but to stand still in the man’s arms, as the morte’metentis devoured the last of its late-night snack. Each growl as the beast shredded its feast seared into his memory. His utter helplessness warred with desperation. There would be no escape for him. He didn’t know how it had happened, but he wasn’t on Earth anymore. And he would have to play Queen Theria’s game if he wanted to go home. But without his guard, how could he even find the missing medic unit or return to the clutch? I’m so fucked.

Cover Reveal Hop: Don't Call Me Iron Man

So by glancing at the title you all might think I'm hosting of my wonderful author friends.  But nope not this time. This time the reveal is all about my first published book with Decadent Publishing under this pseudonym.  I'm so excited and wanted to show off the cover, but I also didn't want this to be another promo blast.  So while you'll get to see the beautiful cover that Syneca Featherstone created for me, you'll also get a glimpse either behind the scenes or learn more about the characters of the story.

So instead of me showing off the cover.  Go check out the links below. I promise you'll have fun reading about our heroes, Lucero and Ivan, the slippery storyteller, Nicodemus, the villainess of my story, Queen Theria, and of course how I came up with the Third Realm of Sisera.   And did I mention there is a different snippet on each site?  Nope, well that was remiss of me.

So what are you waiting for?
